George Hofheimer
has 25 years experience advising the consumer finance industry.
George was the head of research and development at Filene Research Institute, the credit union industry’s think tank for 15 years. Previously he was the chief learning officer at CUES, the credit union industry’s leading executive education association for 8 years.
He has conducted hundreds of advisory engagements with consumer finance organizations across the globe and authored dozens of research reports, including a book entitled Banking on a Human Scale.
George began his career in international business development, including as a member of the first group of Peace Corps Volunteers in the former Soviet Republic of Uzbekistan. George obtained his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Blake Woods
has over a decade of experience in the credit union industry, focused on innovation, product discovery and community outreach.
He began his career at Lake Trust Credit Union while studying at Michigan State University, where he led digital marketing efforts and helped secure the institution’s first-ever CDFI grant. Blake spent the next ten years driving innovation within the organization before joining TransUnion as a senior advisor, where he helped credit unions serve underserved consumers.
In 2022, Blake became the VP of Innovation at Community Financial Credit Union, overseeing product development, community outreach, and more than 50 student credit union branches across the state of Michigan. He also founded the credit union’s philanthropic foundation and spearheaded efforts in new product discovery.
Blake has worked with organizations such as the Institute for the Future, IDEO, and the Members Development Company, applying a human-centered design approach to financial services. He is a proud alum of the i3 group at the Filene Research Institute and has mentored young credit union professionals through his work with The Cooperative Trust and the National Credit Union Foundation.
Danielle Milner
has over a decade of experience transforming brands, experiences, and organizational impact in the financial services industry.
Most recently, Danielle served as Chief Experience Officer at Community Financial Credit Union, where she led innovation, brand strategy, and member experience, focusing on enhancing organizational growth and team engagement. Her role encompassed oversight of brand development, marketing, payments, and innovation.
Before that, Danielle co-founded DO:BETTER, as Chief Strategy Officer, advising over 100 clients across industries. Under her leadership, the company received national recognition, and Danielle was named to Forbes’ Next 1000 list in 2021.
Earlier in her career, Danielle served as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Brand, and Culture at Lake Trust Credit Union, where she played a pivotal role in doubling the organization’s assets and spearheaded key strategic initiatives in innovation and culture.
Danielle holds an MBA from Cleary University and a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Michigan State University.
